Dhaka, October 6, 2025 — Brac University (BracU) officially welcomed its new students for the Fall 2025 semester with an inspiring orientation program held at the university’s Merul Badda campus on Monday. The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey for hundreds of students joining one of Bangladesh’s leading private universities.
Syed Farhat Anwar vice chancellor of Brac University extended a warm welcome to the new students on behalf of the institution. The orientation was graced by Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen, who attended as the chief guest.
In his address, Dr. Momen encouraged students to uphold integrity, innovation, and social responsibility. “Your generation has shown a dream of building Bangladesh in a new way — based on good governance, human development, justice, and progress,” he said. “I believe you can make Bangladesh truly prosperous.” He also urged students to follow the life and educational philosophy of Brac founder Fazle Hasan Abed.
Meanwhile, vice chancellor Farhat Anwar reminded students of their responsibility toward the nation and humanity. “We all have to work together for the welfare of humanity. That is why the Creator sent us to this world,” he said. He also advised students to use the internet and artificial intelligence responsibly, emphasizing critical thinking, discussion and genuine learning over blind reliance on digital tools.
The orientation highlighted Brac University’s legacy, educational philosophy and commitment to quality education through audio-visual presentations. New students learned about the university’s residential semester, facilities, clubs and other academic and extracurricular opportunities.
